About Me.
I'm a 27-year-old writer-director from Portland, Oregon. My passion for storytelling was ignited by Cornelia Funke's "Inkheart" when I was 8 years old, and it hasn't ceased since. I went from writing stories as a child to acting in and writing plays in high school, and then to studying and making movies.
As I watched movies growing up, I realized I didn't see myself in them. What very little representation there was on screen of women, especially queer women, in main roles was usually offensive and often inaccurate. My main goal is to bring diverse representations to the screen and behind the camera.
In the past few years, I've won Best Director at the Toronto LGBTQ+ Film Festival for my short film The Last Gay in Indiana, won multiple awards for my queer western feature film Blood on the Saddle, and have just completed writing a feature film based on the various romances I had while living in Prague.
